John Boccio

Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO)

John Boccio is the Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) at Cognitive Performance Group. He is responsible for supporting all personnel and facility security functions. John served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years as an Intelligence Specialist. During his service, he completed a tour at Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay where he conducted intelligence collection efforts as part of the Global War on Terror. In his civilian career, John has managed a comprehensive Security Program and successfully led his site in over 15 security audits by the Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) and the U.S. Air/Space Force. John received the Cogswell Award from DCSA as result of consistently superior security ratings. John strives to build outstanding security programs driven by communication and maintaining strong working relationships with DCSA, company leaders, and classified sector employees. John is an active member of the Florida Industrial Security Working Group (FISWG) and National Classification Management Society (NCMS). John’s certifications include Special Security Officer (SSO) Navy, Operations Security (OPSEC) Coordinator, and FSO/Insider Threat Program Management. John holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Saint Leo University.
